Patrick Ryan Sr.

Dean Dipak C. Jain
  • A distinguished teacher and scholar, Dipak C. Jain has been dean of the Kellogg School of Management since July 2001. He brings more than 20 years of experience in management and education to his position at the school’s helm. Dean Jain teaches courses on marketing research, new products and services, and statistical models in marketing
  • Dean Jain’s teaching honors include the Sidney Levy Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1995; the John D.C. Little Best Paper Award in 1991; Kraft research professorships in 1989-90 and 1990-91; the Beatrice research professorship in 1987-88; the Outstanding Educator Award from the State of Assam in India in 1982; the Gold Medal for the Best Post-Graduate of the Year from Gauhati University in India in 1978; the Gold Medal for the Best Graduate of the Year from Darrang College in Assam in India in 1976; the Gold Medal from Jaycees International in 1976; the Youth Merit Award from Rotary International in 1976; and the Jawaharlal Nehru Merit Award, Government of India in 1976.
  • Dean Jain’s areas of research include the marketing of high-tech products; market segmentation and competitive market structure analysis; cross-cultural issues in global product diffusion; new product diffusion; and forecasting models. He has had more than 50 articles published in leading academic journals.
  • In 2003, he was appointed as a foreign affairs adviser for the Prime Minister of Thailand. He has served as a consultant to Microsoft, Novartis, American Express, Sony, Nissan, Motorola, Eli Lilly, Phillips and Hyatt International. He also serves as a member of the board of directors of Hartmarx Corporation, Deere & Company, Northern Trust Corporation, and Peoples Energy. He is also a former director at United Airlines.
 
Stephen W. Goodroe
  • Founding CEO of dunnhumby USA, a joint venture between London-based dunnhumby and The Kroger Co
  • Led successful start-up, working currently with top 20 CPG companies in the US
  • Prior to joining dunnhumby USA, Steve was Vice President, Global Customer Marketing with P&G
  • At P&G he set up a 'center of expertise' for customer marketing capability in Cincinnati, supporting regional centers in Brussels, Geneva, Guangzhou, Osaka, Singapore and Caracas
  • Held a variety of international sales & marketing roles during his 30 year tenure at P&G; Served 7 years as VP sales for P&G's Asia business (15 countries including Australia and New Zealand)
 
Ashish Gupta
  • Currently a venture capitalist at the Woodside fund
  • Founder, Vice President of Engineering, and Director of Junglee Corporation, which was acquired by Amazon.com
  • Initial investor in Daksh, which was acquired by IBM
  • Holder of seven patents and has written and presented numerous papers at international conferences, including a book published by MIT Press
  • Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University and a B. Tech. in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur, where he was awarded the President's Gold Medal
 
William Campbell
  • William Campbell, was most recently Chairman of JP Morgan Chase Card Services. Before becoming Chairman of JP Morgan Chase Card Services, Bill was CEO of Bankone Cards and prior to that He was Co-CEO of the Global Consumer Business at Citigroup, a 125,000 person business unit providing consumers with retail banking, credit card, insurance and investment services in 60 countries
  • Prior to being named Co-CEO, Bill was a Corporate Executive Vice President of Global Consumer Business, overseeing credit cards as well as the private bank and consumer banking services provided through branches and electronic delivery
  • Before his tenure at Citigroup, Bill was Chairman of the Board and President of Philip Morris USA where he spent 28 years in progressively more responsible positions in marketing, sales and general management that included senior posts in Canada and Asia
